Biodynamic Massage

Biodynamic Massage

Developed by Norwegian physiotherapist Gerda Boysen, Biodynamic Massage combines massage techniques with physical exercise and psychological development.

It aims to release energy bound up in the muscles and intestines, causing physical and emotional pain.

Much like Willheim Reich, she supported the theory of “armouring”, in which suppressed emotions can cause muscular tension, trapping energy which may be released by working simultaneously on the body and mind.

Treatment can be soothing and soporific or more vigorous. Discussion is encouraged during the session.

Biodynamic Massage is especially useful in treating the following health conditions:
arthritis, asthma, anxiety, back pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, dysmenorrhoea, digestive problems, endometriosis, headaches, insomnia, menorrhagia, PMS, stress.
