Acupressure

Acupressure

Acupressure is considered one of the world’s oldest healing systems, predating even acupuncture. The Chinese discovered that pressure applied to certain points on the body can relieve common ailments and discomforts. Acupressure is based on the same concepts of meridians and acupoints as acupuncture, but fingertip pressure is used rather than needles. The aim is also the same – to balance the flow of energy within the meridians, thereby creating healthy functioning of the internal organs and preventing or curing disease. Many acupuncturists use Acupressure as part of treatment and claim it is suitable for self-treating minor ailments.

Treatment is especially useful in treating the following health conditions:
Asthma, anxiety, arthritis, back pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, constipation, depression, digestive problems, headaches, high blood pressure, insomnia, menstrual problems, and stress.
